TransNusa to Launch Daily Melbourne-Bali Direct Flights Starting October 2026

Indonesian airline TransNusa has announced it will begin daily direct flights between Melbourne and Bali (Denpasar) starting October 19, 2026, with ticket sales opening September 15, 2026.

The new route marks the airline's debut of a Premium Plus service class, offering additional comfort and priority services without business-class pricing. This class is limited to 20 seats per flight.

Introductory fares start at AUD299 for Basic class and AUD699 for Premium Plus.

The daily schedule includes flight 8B-18 departing Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport at 20:45 and arriving in Melbourne at 05:40 the next day, and flight 8B-19 departing Melbourne at 06:25 and arriving in Bali at 09:40.

TransNusa frames the new route as part of its 'Beyond Bali' strategy, enabling travelers to connect through Bali to domestic Indonesian destinations such as Wakatobi, Manado, Bima, and Lombok, as well as regional destinations including Singapore, Phuket, and major Chinese cities.

The airline already operates 21 weekly flights to Perth, holding roughly 20% market share there, and the Melbourne route represents further expansion into the Australian market.
