Ngurah Rai Airport Flights Operating Normally After Flores Earthquake
Following an earthquake that struck the Flores Island area of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on the morning of August 15, Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport confirmed that airport operations remain normal with no flight cancellations to or from NTT.
Ngurah Rai International Airport in Tuban, Kuta District, Badung Regency, announced that flight operations and airport services remained normal following an earthquake that struck the Flores Island area of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on the morning of Saturday, August 15. As of Saturday noon, no flights to or from NTT had been cancelled.
Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, Head of the Communication & Legal Division at Ngurah Rai Airport, said that as of 12:00 WITA, airport operations were running normally and optimally, including flights to various NTT airports. The Denpasar (Ngurah Rai)–Labuan Bajo route operates 9 departures and 8 arrivals daily, while the Denpasar–Tambolaka route operates 3 departures and 2 arrivals daily.
The earthquake reportedly affected Nagekeo Regency and surrounding areas. Airport management expressed condolences and concern for residents affected by the natural disaster in the Nagekeo region.
