Four Iranian and Pakistani Nationals Arrested in Java Over Gianyar Theft Case, Transferred Back to Bali
Four foreign nationals from Iran and Pakistan, wanted in connection with a theft reported in Gianyar, Bali on September 17, 2026, were arrested by police in Cepu, Blora Regency, Central Java. The arrest was carried out at the request of Gianyar Police, and the suspects have since been transferred back to Bali for further legal proceedings.
The Criminal Investigation Mobile Team (Resmob) of Blora Police in Central Java arrested four foreign nationals from Iran and Pakistan in the Cepu subdistrict, Blora Regency. The four had been wanted in connection with an alleged theft that occurred in Gianyar, Bali.
The incident was reported to have taken place in Gianyar around 5:36 PM local time on September 17, 2026. Acting on a request and coordination from Gianyar Police, the Blora mobile team tracked down the suspects and apprehended them in Cepu around 10:00 PM Western Indonesia Time on Tuesday, September 23. The arrest reportedly proceeded without resistance.
Following the arrest, the four suspects were taken to Blora Police headquarters for initial processing while awaiting the arrival of investigators from Gianyar Police. Preliminary checks in Blora found no other legal violations beyond the theft case.
Blora Police Criminal Investigation Chief, Comr. Zaenul Arifin, emphasized that law enforcement is not limited by administrative boundaries, noting that strong inter-agency coordination narrows the room for suspects to evade legal processes. The four suspects have since been transferred back to Bali by Gianyar Police investigators to face further legal proceedings.
