Foreign Tourist Arrivals to Bali Rise 15% in July 2026, Australia Remains Top Market
According to Bali's statistics agency (BPS), foreign tourist arrivals to Bali reached 697,809 in July 2026, up 15.34% from 604,962 in June. The increase is attributed to holiday seasons starting in key source countries including Australia, China, South Korea, and Europe. Australia remains the largest source market.
According to Agus Gede Hendrayana Hermawan, head of Bali's Statistics Agency (BPS), 697,809 foreign tourists arrived directly in Bali in July 2026, marking a 15.34% increase from 604,962 arrivals in June.
The rise is linked to the start of holiday periods in Bali's key source marketsāAustralia, China, South Korea, and various European countriesāduring July. Australia's winter school holidays, China's summer holiday, South Korea's summer vacation period, and Europe's peak summer holiday season all coincided in that month.
Australia remained the top source of visitors, with 174,539 passport holders arriving, an 11.38% increase from June. China ranked second with 59,029 arrivals, up sharply by 41.45% month-on-month. France also saw a notable jump, rising 56.35% from 22,305 arrivals in June to 34,826 in July.
Besides the holiday season factor, the increase in arrivals was also attributed to various events held in Bali during the period.
Things to Consider
With Bali entering peak season, book accommodation and flights well in advance, as continued growth in Australian tourist numbers is likely to drive up hotel prices and crowding in popular areas like Kuta, Seminyak, and Ubud. If already in Bali, allow extra time for attractions and airport procedures due to increased visitor volume.
