Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport Handles Over 13.2 Million Passengers in Jan-Jul 2026

Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport announced it served approximately 13.2 million passenger movements over the seven-month period from January to July 2026, comprising 8.5 million international and 4.7 million domestic passengers. Aircraft movements totaled 80,000, split between 43,000 international and 36,000 domestic flights.

Airport General Manager Nugroho Jati, representing operator InJourney Airports, said the facility "plays a strategic role as Bali's gateway for air mobility, supporting the tourism sector as well as domestic and international movement of people," adding that operations ran smoothly throughout the period.

The top five international routes by passenger volume were Singapore (1.5 million), Kuala Lumpur (903,000), Perth (687,000), Melbourne (630,000), and Sydney (494,000). A total of 44 airlines operated 42 international routes connecting Bali to 16 countries, with Australia offering the most routes at 12.

According to immigration data, around 4 million foreign tourists entered Bali through the airport during this period. Australia accounted for the largest share with 1 million arrivals (25% of the total), followed by China (358,000), India (327,000), South Korea (174,000), and the United Kingdom (172,000).

On the domestic side, Jakarta (Cengkareng) led with 2.1 million passengers, followed by Surabaya (738,000), Labuan Bajo (309,000), Makassar (258,000), and Lombok Praya (253,000). Eleven airlines operated 24 domestic routes, with the airport also serving as a hub connecting travelers to nearby destinations such as Labuan Bajo and Lombok.

Cargo traffic during the period reached 67,000 tons, including 50,000 tons international and 17,000 tons domestic.
