Bali Police Deploy Security Operation for International Police Conferences in Nusa Dua

Bali Police Chief Insp. Gen. Daniel Adityajaya led a troop deployment ceremony at Bali Police Headquarters on September 18, 2026, launching "Operation Gapura Agung IV-2026" to secure two major international police-related events being held in the Nusa Dua area.

The first event is the 63rd International Association of Women Police (IAWP) Training Conference, scheduled for September 20–24 at The Westin Nusa Dua Hotel, expected to draw 464 policewomen representatives from 43 countries. Senior officials, including Indonesia's National Police Chief, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, and the head of the National Human Rights Commission, are also expected to attend.

The second event is the 14th Senior Officer Meeting (SOM) between the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the Australian Federal Police (AFP), running September 20–22, aimed at strengthening strategic cooperation between the two forces.

To secure both events, Bali Police will deploy 744 personnel over five days, under the command of the Director of Samapta as Operation Commander. Policewomen have been strategically placed in the security detail as part of the force's commitment to gender equality.

Daniel emphasized that Bali represents "the face of Indonesia to the world" and instructed personnel to maintain professional, humane security without disrupting daily community life or tourism activities. Key directives include early detection of potential disturbances, rapid response and reporting, regular field supervision by control officers, and use of technology—including monitoring via the Bali Police Command Center—to track personnel movements.

No specific travel restrictions for the general public have been announced, but visitors and residents near Nusa Dua may notice an increased police presence, checkpoints, and possible temporary traffic adjustments during the event period.
