Badung Police Hunt Two Foreigners Filmed in Indecent Act on Resident's Property
CCTV footage showing a foreign man and woman engaging in an indecent act on a resident's property along Jalan Pantai Berawa in North Kuta, Badung, went viral on social media. Police are working with immigration authorities to identify the pair; the man has been identified as an Australian national.
Badung Police in Bali are searching for a foreign man and woman filmed engaging in an indecent act on the grounds of a resident's home along Jalan Pantai Berawa in Tibubeneng Village, North Kuta District.
According to Acting Public Relations Officer Aiptu Ni Nyoman Ayu Inastuti, the incident occurred around 6:29 PM local time on Friday, August 21, near the gate of a resident's property. The act reportedly occurred multiple times and continued until approximately 6:43 PM.
A resident who stepped outside to make an offering was startled to witness the act and shouted at the pair, but was ignored. The resident then went back inside and alerted the homeowner's child to contact the homeowner. The couple left the area on foot heading west around 6:44 PM.
Police reviewed CCTV footage from the area and are coordinating with immigration authorities to identify the pair. Initial identification indicates the man is an Australian national; efforts to identify the woman are ongoing.
The homeowner reported no material or non-material losses but felt the property had been "defiled" and plans to hold a cleansing ceremony. North Kuta Police say they will continue identification efforts and determine appropriate legal action in accordance with applicable regulations.
